I actually had 2 PS2 fats go out on me (I repaired my first one a half a dozen times, because I couldn't afford a new one lol) Then I got the lovely little silver slim, and it worked great. That is the only system I have ever owned that has broken on me. As MrBubbles alluded to, Sony makes garbage confirmed? (the answer is of course not, I think there are growing pains to this kind of thing)
