I don't mean to sound hostile, but the stupidity of people like Manos really needs shooting down.
For what it's worth, I really enjoy console gaming. I have a Wii for the kids and if I could afford an 'HD' console, I'd get one. It's not a rival to PC gaming, it's complementary. To cut yourself off from one or the other is dumb. To pretend that you can't game cheaply and more than adequately on a PC is equally dumb.
