Steam hardware survey. Clearly, a survey of several million PC gamers pales into insignificance compared to a straw polll of a few of your mates, but a quick glance at the graphics cards people are using does tend to indicate that well over 80% are desktop parts. Yes, cherrypicking. You originally said that the games on pc are 20-25$ cheaper which isn't always the case. Now when you see you were wrong, you just start talking about the release prices.
Wrong, my hole. You don't seem very knowledgeable, but surely even you know that a licensing fee is applied to each console game? How else do you think Microsoft/ Sony/ Nintendo make their money once you've bought the console? The fee account for the difference in price between PC and console games. Funnily enough, it appears to be around £10-15 on the RRP, the differential generally being maintained until the game gets heavily discounted to sell off the stock. All you've quoted so far is The Last Remnant, which seems to have sold extremely poorly, hence the discounted price, was released several months before the PC version, and can still be bought new for a fiver less on the PC. Great going, Einstein. I thought that the point of having gaming rig was to brag about how big your e-penis is so you need the best parts/peripherals. What is the point of pc-gaming if you do it with a 10$ mouse and a graphics card which does not even beat your neighbours one?
It's quite obvious you know less than sod all about PC gaming, then. Give me an optimum performance: price ratio any time over unnecessary expense. Now, unless you have anything enlightening to say, I suggest you bugger off back to the 360 forum and stop boring us all with these regurgitated myths. |
You know, not all pc owners or even pc gamers use steam. If you try to argue that every pc owners has something and try to prove it by using a source which is not the majority of those people you are just wrong. Same goes for my friends, but my point was that not ALL pc owners have a mouse or a keyboard. :)
You seem to have trouble understanding what you are saying. First you said that pc games cost 20-25$ less than 360 games. I just gave you one example (TLR) which costs 25$. You should be able to find one for 0-5$? I am not going to bother looking for games so I will give you few examples out of recent 360/pc multiplatforms I have bought. Street fighter 4 for 20£ and Cod:WaW for 25£. Could you point me where you can find those games 20-25$ cheaper?
Oh and why should I care why a game is somewhat cheap?
If you did not notice, the last part was a response to your lame rant about console gamers needing a 40" hdtv. I think I don't need your help to build a pc, but thanks anyway for the offer.
