Still i imagine the only reason the game is not fitting on a smaller disc is because they keep using huge music/sound files that would take up a whole DVD by themselves, plus extra pre-rendered FMV which adds a further 5-10GB (which as the PS3 is powerful enough, could have been done with normal cutscenes and not looked much worse)
If Nintendo can get GC games onto 1.5GB and still sound and look great, then this game can fit onto a 9GB DVD.
