Who thinks the wii only costs a 100$ to make?

development cost was met probably in the first months of sales of the wii.

games especially first party dont cost aside the DVD/blu ray disc used to burn it and it case (which for wii sport its a carton box cd case).

I think the point people were trying to make is that there's $50 in the cost of your Wii allocated to owning Wii Sports, thus it's not part of the profit of the hardware, and is considered the profit the game is making. In other words you consider how much profit Nintendo is making off of the Wii out of $200, not $250.
