| NeoRatt said: Gameplay > Story > Sound > Graphics When are people going to wake up? Graphics don't make a great game. They are a small part of game success. Great gameplay, with a great story that is told well through strategic/short cutscenes, sound sets the intensity, and graphics is a distant last place for visual eye-candy. On topic, I think Killzone 2 will be the graphic king for a long time... |
QFT... This generation seems to be filled with graphic whores who only measure game by it's looks. Gameplay is always the most important thing, very good example is Force Unleashed: it looked awesome and it got big hype behind it and in the end it turned out to be shitty gameplay and too short campaign.
PC games are always the "graphics kings" so let's exclude those. I think MGS4, Uncharted 2, Far Cry 2, GeOW2, Killzone 2 and Alan Wake are all about on the same level tbh on technical stand point, Bioshock with PC anti-alising is best in terms of atmosphere and art direction... These are often matters of personal taste, someone might think Okami or Viewtiful Joe is still better looking than anything on new consoles.
