Yup, pretty close. Maybe more. I didn't own a console until the GameCube came out -- I was a devoted PC gamer for eons. Now I have every console since that gen to the present, with the exception of an original XBox. I'm still burning through my eBay PS2 RPG collection... egads there are a lot. Oh and I am experiencing console awesomeness, like Secret of Mana, and Breath of Fire 2 (playing right now on my Wii, of course), for the first time. Good times, for me, as an eons-old RPGer. I feel lucky, because I don't imagine that console RPGer's would get the same joy out of playing old PC games, as I do out of old console games. If you're going to go back to the dark ages of gaming, you have to have a controller... at least that's my take. DOS emulator (or whatnot) and a keyboard is pretty harsh. |
Oh yeah, there are some bad ass computer RPGs. I just played console ones first... because well i had a console first.
