I'm not disagreeing with that, I'm disagreeing to the fact that they lose $126 per console sold. Since you say it still holds true today.

sorry was thinking you were disagreeing with the fact microsoft are losing money.

But it may not still be true today, but your link is flawed it never mentions the cost of the console, it just said halo 3 boosted xbox 360 sales, not that microsoft lost/gain money for each console sold.

does it say that "miscrosoft lost/gain money for each console sold." It does however, say that it helped MS make a profit.

its fair to speculate based on the gamespot article from 2005 that this would still hold true though. Microsoft is loosing money on xbox 360, so theres no proof that suddenly their making profit on each xbox sold when the price back in 2005 lost them $126 per console sold, the figure would be the same or slightly smaller (but wouldn't be a profit).
