One person gave a rough figure based on the production costs of the original unit compared to now.  Figures we have no idea what they are.  Only guesses made by iSuppli and a figure released a few months ago saying Sony loses 10% per console sold.

So, one person who gives a rough figure with no explanations and was still reluctant to say anything does not mean they can afford a $100 price drop.  Wait till they actually give details on how much the new models cost to produce, then we will have confirmation.
