Ok, so the NES sold about 62 million and the PS2 has more than doubled that (and still selling), but this isn´t about simple numbers, it´s more about marketshare relative to each system´s respective times.

I understand the NES wasn´t as popular in Europe as it was in the rest of the world, while the PS2 enjoyed high popularity practically everywhere, but even then, I heard the NES managed almost 80% marketshare (worldwide)...dunno if it´s true...and the PS2 70/75%?

Would anyone know the percentages?....though the PS2 is called by many 'king' of consoles...was the NES, relative to its time, even more dominant on a global basis?
