Maybe they should have put more thought into the spiralling costs of game development a couple of years ago, instead of rushing forwards assuming the business model of prettier, bigger more bombastic games would go along unimpeded. I get most Wii games I want around release for £30 or less, and that includes the bigger budget releases like Galaxy or Brawl.
I understand developers need support from gamers during a recession, but gamers need understanding from developers too. As a student unable to find work, there's no way I could afford £70 games. And what about gamers with families to support? Or gamers still in high school or college?
