On multi-disc games, I would imagine the BD version would be cheaper.
Also, Sony, being a major member of the BDA, makes a royalty off every BD made, but not off DVDs (or at least not nearly as much).
Sony also makes royalties off every other BD game printed for their system, in addition to the licensing fee they make for it being on their system in the first place.
In short, at this stage, BD does not hurt Sony's games business in any way, shape, or form. I would even say that its probably a fair bit of a boon for them, and that's not even taking the savings from not having to make multi-disc cases for some games into account.
