Agreed, but at least on the 360 games work without installation. That's the core of the problem and what would piss me off if I had a PS3 as far as I'm concerned.

 

It's not like Sony made installations compulsory. Uncharted 1 and 2, Killzone 2 (among others) seem to work very well without one. If a game installs 5 GB of stuff while those technical monsters don't maybe something is wrong with it.

Of course not, but they didn't forbid it either. Console makers have all kinds of requirements for developers, that could be another one.
