Personally The cars as before look amazing, however the circuits still dont look as good as FM2. This footage is from suzuka, and as Ive raced this track hundreds of times in Forza I can say circuit detail in FM2 is better. Also worryingly It's not very realistic, if I hit a car that hard in FM2 I'd be punished with damage and loss of control. Just not happening in GT5. Sense of speed is not as good either.
Before you call me a fanboy I would hope yu've read my previous posts. I used to love GT as the perfect race simulation, but as a game that portrays realism on all levels it's now in second. I'm yet to play it, so will reserve some judgement. But from this footage the above is apparent.
