| sapient said: All Suikoden and Grandia have "real" turn based combat. Suikoden's turn based combat is similar to older games where the player decides what action every member will take and then let it play out. Grandia's combat is the best IMHO as the turn based system is happening in real time i.e. the game pauses whenever it is one of your party member's turn to execute a command. It is pretty fast paced and has to be played/seen to understand how it works. If you have a PSP or PS3 you can download suikoden 1 from PSN for $5.99. Used Suikoden 3,4,5 games should be easy to find. I believe 3 and 5 are awesome. 4 would take some getting used to. There are some gameplay differences in each version. I believe Grandia 1 would be much harder to come by, Grandia 2 and 3 should be easy to find. |
Ok. I don't know about suikodens style or the combat but it might be good. :) I've seen Suikoden 5 for 10 euros new so I might as well try it out.
I checked that video about grandia and I did not get the battle system. I haven't seen any grandia games so I guess they aren't that common. Oh and thanks for the videos. :)
