Ghosting and input lag are due to the TV, not the game console.
For a quick check, If you have any other consoles, plug them in and see if they get ghosting, if they do that means your TV has a long response time (essentialy how long it takes for a pixel to change) High response times cause ghosting. Most HDTV's with high response times have a "game mode" to reduce it, I suggest looking in your manual or settings to see if your TV has game mode, it helps a ton.
The component cables, and setting the Wii to 480P, should remove all bluriness and make the image sharper, get the official Nintendo ones, they are cheap.
