PS3 will come second mainly because of its brand and many people waiting for price drops or specific exclusives(MGS4,FFXIII,GOW3,GT5 etc). The X360 sells mainly in NA now,is non-existence in Japan and is just there in EU. The PS3 however is doing well in Japan,alright in NA and quite good in EU. If the X360 wasnt so NA heavy then it could come second but because MS cant crack the JPN or EU market(except UK) very much and so they will fail completely and even if by some freak market shift they did get second place MS would have still lost because they wont be out the red and very unlikely to have made a profit.
MS will shoot themselves in the foot by releaseing the XBOX3 too early and gamers rejecting it because it was released to early. Which in turns also kills X360 sales because consumers wont know which one to get and when they ask staff the staff will say either PS3 or Wii.
