Probably 10 to 15% average. More for very good service, etc. If I'm eating out on expenses, which I often am, I will tend to tip 20 to 25% average and again more for good service.

Also, if there is no pressure to tip I will almost always give a big tip, however if the service is average in some exclusive restaurant which then automatically adds a huge tip to the bill... because I don't like to feel pushed I'll often drop the tip down - sure fire way to see some funny maître d’ losing their cool antics...



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
