Shio logic lesson 1:
publishers don't know how many copies of each game they are making,
publishers send all their shipments through black holes for fun so they don't know who exactly got their games and are waiting for possible money that may or may not return by those black holes,
publishers are getting mugged by retailers instead of gamers so be thankful,
publishers obviously don't know math,
publishers are making charity work by putting games on steam since they don't receive any money from it,

Obviously you haven't even bothered checking the financial reports of Activision. It is a fact that Activision only took into account the sales of COD4 tracked by NPD, Charttrack and GFK. It is also a fact that Activision uses those 3 companies to measure it's games in their own financial reports.

GO SEE ACTIVISION'S REPORTS!

Seriously guys, COD4 (PC) is on about 2.5m sold though (including digital downloads and everything else)

How do you figure? Imo, the PC version of COD4 will approach 10 million lifetime.

I even made a rough estimate that when Activision released the 7 million figure, atleast 2 million was from the PC version, not counting the sales from dozens of PC-centric countries and digital sales.
