publishers don't know how many copies of each game they are making,
publishers send all their shipments through black holes for fun so they don't know who exactly got their games and are waiting for possible money that may or may not return by those black holes,
publishers are getting mugged by retailers instead of gamers so be thankful,
publishers obviously don't know math,
publishers are making charity work by putting games on steam since they don't receive any money from it,
