i find it funny about the whole this console failed argument.

Everything fails at something. so saying that something failed is kind of a no brainer.

the problem is many people correlate that to being that the product as a whole has failed which is not true at all.

so what if the PS3 is in 3rd, 2nd 1st 4th all it means it's in what ever place its in.

the funny thing is there is when it comes to game console's 3 racer's in a race

the racer's

Wii

xbox360

ps3

add in the PC and you have a 4th racer

so what if a system does not come in 1st place that does not make the system as a whole a complete failure.

like i said EVERYTHING FAILS AT SOMETHING

so the xbox360, and the Wii and the PC are also failures.

It lost the exclusives, marketshare and mindshare it had last gen when it was supposed to be the default winner. It has lost millions of dollars, more than they even made during the ps1/ps2 generation combined. If you cannot consider this a failure, then I don't think anytrhing on this earth can be considered one.

because nintendo,sony and microsoft are not

lost exclusives?

if your still able to play the game on the system how did you loose it? so what if another system has the game you cannot count something as lost if you still have it.

the fact that Sony has 3 systems on the market at once , nintendo has 3 and microsoft has 1 (2) if you count the PC, but yet you want to talk about market share?

its very easy to seperate just on one system's sales alone an say look were beating the market share of this company while not taking into account the other product's THAT ARE BEING SOLD . If you want to be blunt about it Microsoft has the largest marketshare and will alway's have if you count in PC. 

default Winner?

there is no such thing though the way some people on the internet carry on you would think there is. did sony have an advantage maybe but every generation of systems released is not the same as the previous. that's the point it's a new system its not the previous system.

more than the ps1/ps2 made?

you do know that sony has stated the PS1+PS2 has upto date sold over $50 billion at retail. so unless you know for a fact how much Sony has

made out of the $50 billion . that's a b with a billion has sony stated how much out of the 50 billion has been profit.

who know's but Sony. 10 year's + profits wiped out by the PS3 is very unlikely outside sources guess at the cost of the price to manuf. the PS3 but that's just it. its a guess sony has not went on the record to THE PUBLIC and state how much does it cost to produce a single PS3. 

its when people on the internet put more faith in rumor's than in Fact's.
