2nd world is an obsolete cold war term that identified Russia and the formet Soviet bloc countries...
1st world, likewise, began as a term that identified the US and it's NATO allies, and has since transitioned to identify countries with advanced economies.
3rd world was used to identify "everybody else" and has no real contemporary replacement, but people use it anyway, generally to refer to developing nations.
