I'm not sure where people are coming from when they speak poorly of this game...
It's not out yet, so we don't know how good it is, but Naughty dog has never made a game that was not a good game, so you can only assume it will be awesome.
You cannot compare this to either GT5 or Forza 3, but even then, I'm doubting either will look as good as uncharted 2. The recent forza 3 screenshots show some pretty bad backgrounds and ground textures and honestly, the cars look worse than GT5P, but it still looks better overall than GT5p.
Alan wake may and probably will end up being the better game, but technology wise it's not even close. I'd say Alan wake has a while to go before it even encroaches on Uncharted one. The trailer clearly showed lots of clipping, odd animations, and low textures on a lot of the environments, while it does look amazing, its only because of the lack of color. What makes uncharted look so good is how vibrant and colorful the world environments are, they look and feel alive, COMBINED with incredibly graphical quality is why uncharted outclasses everything out there, even the former king Killzone 2.
I honestly think Killzone 2 is ugly compared to Uncharted 2, and Gears 2 is even uglier than Killzone 2.. so I dunno what you're all talking about, Uncharted 2 is by far the best looking game out there right now and please dont compare it to a splintercell game, that's not even remotely close to being fair to uncharted 2. Compare it to Crysis.
