One of the reasons I didn't get a PS3 at launch was because I had no HD TV so I had no benefit of Blu Ray and didn't want to play games without enjoying the graphics which HD consoles are all about.
(well besides the astounding price it came out at, I always intended to buy one for FF).
HD TVs started at 32" and were a minimum of 500€ a year ago, 1000€ for console and screen is a big deal.
(I went for a 28" PC monitor :p .... then got lured by a cheap 360, then FF jumped ship...)
