Again, how do their sales coincide? Alan Wake is coming in the Spring of 2010, is a new IP, and IS NOT in the same genre as Uncharted 2. How do they relate, at all, besides fiscals? And even with fiscals, so? Killzone 2 came in the same fiscal as Gears 2, did it compete with it in sales? I don't think so...

He made the connection, ask him.

In any case Gears and Killzone 2 both have a connection as games with massive hype coming out of E3 2005. One became a symbol of Xbox 360 success, and the other became a symbol of something else for the PS3.

Killzone 2 was a success even if it didn't perform to OUR standards. It's still seen as the best looking game right now on consoles, shifted 750,000 in it's first few days on the market, and helped spike the PS3 that week. It's nothing to write home about, but it did fine.

The best looking console games right now are infact 2d because it doesn't take much performance or effort to perfect with modern technology.

Killzone 2 = Graphical effort != sales.

Killzone 2 = Sony being late in releasing key software.

Killzone 2 = Hyped game which became forgettable within a few months.

Not forgettable at all, its multiplayer rocks. But the controls turned off a lot of people :(

But i like the controls very much ^^
