You asked if there was any connection. I offered you one. Besides that point, chances are Uncharted 2 will whip Alan Wake in terms of sales.

Again, how do their sales coincide? Alan Wake is coming in the Spring of 2010, is a new IP, and IS NOT in the same genre as Uncharted 2. How do they relate, at all, besides fiscals? And even with fiscals, so? Killzone 2 came in the same fiscal as Gears 2, did it compete with it in sales? I don't think so...

In any case Gears and Killzone 2 both have a connection as games with massive hype coming out of E3 2005. One became a symbol of Xbox 360 success, and the other became a symbol of something else for the PS3.
