Frankly I don't get tipped at my job, and don't understand why waiters should be.

I don't think minimum wage applies to waiters, since they're usually paid by the hour. I'm guessing their hourly rate is higher than in USA though...

I apologize, I am not being clear. The minimum wage in the United States refers to the minimum hourly wage.
