Most of the time when I buy from Gamestop the games aren't butchered, though this is probably more to do with me getting games on or relatively close to release date.
You should probably shop somewhere else if you can't stand stickers and opened games - Gamestop seems to do it pretty often from what I hear and I've only had it happen to me once or twice. And by once or twice, I mean I went to another store to buy the games so they would've already been opened.
Buying used at gameday sales is okayish though.
