Well, when I first got my PS3 I only had a PAL SDTV. I got The Darkness and I thought the game seemed very framey. I couldn't afford a HDTV in South Africa (they are beyond the means of most), so I got a 22inch HDCP monitor for my room to play on. I tried The Darkness again, expecting it to be even worse running at 720p, but I was amazed that it seemed to run the same if not better.
