So there was a Hexen II? I always mix Hexen and Hexen II.

Yes, Heretic was very good. It tried to be more RPG and medieval fantasy, like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

ah yes....i figured it looked more green because they throw ENDLESS axes at you....with the occasional red. And yea the ghost ones you had to use the claw orb or crossbow. Hexen 2, i hardly played it and therefore can't remember much about it.

You know I started playing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and i just got stuck somewhere very early in the game and gave up. I later found out that is was a game crippling bug.

EDIT: oh and for the record, the creepiest sounds were made from this guy:

he would be constantly chanting in the background when he's not in view....and i'm thinking ....wtf???
