Since you have the disk, why not try it out alongside your existing Windows install before you decide? Especially since it's an RC and will expire next year.
You won't notice any improvement from the extra RAM. 3-4GB is good enough for all gaming apps; they tend to be GPU dependent.
What's your graphics card? There's no point having an i7 and 6GB of RAM unless you have the card to use it.
