You might think it's weird, but did you ever ask yourself the question "What if every people I've met in my life are just in 'my life', and they kind of vanish when I die" or something like that? Haha... I'm sure there's even a word that describes this or a religion that believes in that stuff too. Anyways, why do I ask this all of a sudden? Well, I've been doing a New Game+ on Persona 3 and I started the Hermit Social Link (the MMO one), and the very first lines talks a bit about the story in the MMO and if I remember correctly it goes a bit like this: "Reality is but a reflection of our thoughts and expectations... But what if we were merely reflections in another's mirror?" So, as you can see, my previous question kind of makes sense with just these few lines. I'd be interested in playing an RPG with a story exploiting this idea. Does it even exist (yet...!), or it's just in that little part in P3? Thanks for the help! |
Sounds like Eternal Sonota, which takes place in a dream. I bet there are enough "Dream World" RPGs that it's already cliche.
Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
