The Wii version looks pretty cool. Its as hardcore as ever (according to Konami!), but the control style gives gamers a significant improvement over the control of the players and the game. Check out the movies on IGN and elsewhere. - pick players off the ball, and direct them to run into space (you designate where the space is) - setup sequences & dummy player orders for taking free kicks and penalties - pass into space, and designate exactly where to kick to - teammates anticpate the pass and run to the correct spot to intercept - trigger intentional offsides by using players off the ball The graphics although not HD standard, look pretty awesome for a Wii title. I'm no sports/football/soccer game fan - but this has me curious if nothing else. If they pull it off, the Wii could become the definitive platform for PES games from here on. Its also a nice change from what EA did with FIFA - dumbify it down, and add minigames and "family" control systems. Maybe they can learn from PES...

True. If the controls are awesome this year it might be the definitive version.... next year. This year i'd expect it to get cruuushed since it comes out later. I don't think a lot of Europe will have the patience to wait for a game that might or might not have better controls. (They could completly botch it after all.)
Then again, that would likely also depend on the Wii's online capabilities if it really does serve as europes "Madden".
