see that's exactly my point these companies know the gamer's pretty well...the gamer's have been enticed by the game's and it show's what are the gamer's willing to shell out...their market reasearch show's gamer's are very willing to shell out $60.00+per game not just for the game's only, add in movies, other content its a very large market for a reason..that is one of the Problem's its getting to the point that $60.00+ point has become the standard..and its prob. not going away anytime soon because GAMER's seem to be happy with the price point.
when i was growing up..70's if my dad heard i would wanted a game that was even $20.00 he said it was too much, yea even if i worked for the money myself he still would complain about the price. Today it seem's that parent's reluctant also to say "NO"/just my Opinion and i fully support gameing but it's just my OPINION of the game industry as a whole, i cannot blame the companies though , hell i would do that also from personal experience with some development myself, the Industry is following pretty much how any company would go,,,"give them an inch they would take a mile ..if you let them" |
$20.00 was worth so much more in the 70's. I mean the average movie ticket in 1978 was $2.34.
