Sites that make you sign up for offers to get free gifts are both legitimate and scams at the same time ...
They tend to be (somewhat) similar to a pyramid scheme in that people who "get in" early have no problem from seeing the reward, but there aren't enough people in the world for the people a few rungs down the ladder to be successful.
