do you actually have a point as to why I am on another planet?
I can assure you this argument is very grounded. This gen, sony has barely promoted it's games and yet now it has three commercials making their rounds. This past two weeks has seen about 10+ exclusive announcements, and the slim is pretty much confirmed via Sony's "viral" campaign of "leak announcement". Sony has recently been spending a lot of money. At least moreso than they have been letting on in the past few years.
Do you disagree with my assumption that they might be feeling less of a crunch, or do you have your own reason why they are being so energetic? I don't think you do other than probably "They are feeling competitve pressure" of which you have even less evidence to work with. Maybe other than the fact that a new Halo is coming out. It's really disheartening how xbox fans continually batter the ps3 fans even though we basically play all the same games and both have a great variety of awesome exclusives and shared multiplats.
to respond to your comment about how it makes no sense... I put forth the evidence about them possibly increasing spending. I made a guess as to why. It's been 8 months since Sony said it was losing ~60$ per console. At launch they were losing about 280. Almost 3 years later, and after a 200$ price decrease from the 600$ system, means that they been cutting about 11$ per month on the cost. That would mean they are very close to breaking even.
