Your view of logic is an odd one.

First of all... The PS2 is around 137-138 million shipped at the moment... so for it to outsell the combined non-Wii Nintendo home consoles it needs another 28 million... a figure that is so incredibly improbable (ie, the PS3 is not even certain to manage it) that it defies logic.

Second of all, the Wii's current profitability is already treble that of the combined PS family... why do you think it will not manage quadruple when the Wii is current'y making huge profits and the PS familyof consoles is either losing money, or at best staying in the same place.
