If that measly amount of pixel loss is necessary for halo to run smoothly then so be it. I seriously doubt the scaler in the 360 is going to be stressed.


I'm sorry but you deserve it. You failed to consider we are talking about a bi-dimensional surface, thus values are squared.

128x80 = just 10.240 pixels

1280x720 = 921.600 pixels

1152x640 = 737.280 pixels

A difference of 184.320 pixels instead of 10.240 pixels, over 15 times your presumed value. Basically a 576x320 image.
