| libellule said: this is funny because it just shows how Kojima have failed to deliver a simimlar experience with MGS2/3 (never played MGS4, dont spoil plz). I mean : MGS2 : the boss fight are far from amazing and the overall boss are lacking background story Fortune+Vampire were nice but Solidus has no soul and the MG Ray were so weak .... MGS3 : it is very funny how The Boss/Volgin/Ocelot/The End were VERY good boss and have some background story while The Pain/The Fear were so poor ... I have always thought that Kojima never understand completely what made the strenght of MGS1, at least, he never understood how the boss character in MGS1 were so good and that it was an important part of the game experience |
Actually I think I might be the only one here who thinks that MGS3's boss battles were on par with MGS1's.... But Unfortunately the fanboy in me recognizes that the one disappointing thing about MGS4 were the B and B corps. But those fights were actually pretty sweet gameplay wise.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
