I can care less either way about this news, honestly what's ticking me off about Sega is how many franchises they keep alive without bringing back my favorite ones. Come on, they rumored Space Channel 5 coming out for the Wii, we have Nights, Sonic, even Seaman is coming back, Samba de Amigo, of course there is the ever boring Virtua Fighter, the never ending Super Monkey Balls, and many others.
I want to see:
Jet Set Radio
Shenmue
Crazy Taxi
heck even ToeJam and Earl or a Burning Rangers sequel would be cool.
I think golden Axe's problem much like Bionic commandos is that they waited too long to cash in on a 3d game experience. Moving classic 2d games into 3d like Mario and Zelda on the N64 was a huge move, and worked well. But that was a decade ago. Now with these 2d games so dated it feels more forced, like they are squeezing juice out of old franchises. I'm not saying they'll be bad, I'm just not terribly excited till I see some gameplay videos.
