I haven't much in terms of "declining profits". What I have seen in a lot of publishers is big losses. Even the big publishers are losing money these days. The biggest exceptions seem to be Activision-Blizzard (with the WoW cash cow, it would be hard to make a loss) and Ubisoft.

 

LoL, that's true. Its not so much declining profits as it is rising losses, ha.

What do you think would happen when the majority of the rundustry is run by developers and have no business experience? In good times they could make money with almost anything, but this is the time that the chaff is burned away and bad companies die (or get bought out). Rockstar is prolly the number one example of this: They have a huge cash cow but they still lose mony. It is almost unbelievable.
