i know kirby is a legit business.

Its just their main way of doing business is going door to door and selling 2000 dollar vacuums. Its a really tough job; you have to have a really REALLY thick skin.

On the same note, has anyone ever done the Cutco knife sales thing?

My brother and sister both sold Cutco knives one summer each.  They both got pretty good money from it.  My sister kind of took most of the resources my brother could use because she sold hers a few years before.  It's def good money if you are in college of high school but its not really career worthy unless you know tons of people.  They don't really like it if you go door to door from what I was told.
