The actual Sega sucks, but the old Sega made some of the best games in VG history. Shinobi, Sonic, Streets of Rage, Beyond Oasis, Shinning Force (ignore newer titles), Streets of Rage (should be in any top5 beat em up list).
I think Sega is kinda like Nintendo. They need to work on their own hardware to make good games. After losing hardware exclusivity they lost their creativity and control over the development process.
The last good Sega game I played since Genesis days is Yakuza. Virtua Cop, House of the Dead, Crazy Taxi are ok, but I see them like arcade games.
