What video game sequel is so bad it almost ruined or successfully ruined a popular series?
I vote for "The Adventure of Link" aka Zelda II. I still remember how angry gamers were when this game was released. I am glad Nintendo did not abandon the series completely and eventually released "A Link to the Past".
(I know other Zelda games were made for other consoles, but I refuse to even acknowledge those catastrophes.)
