Deadliest month for US in Afghanistan since the war started (2001)

This has been the worst month as well for UK troops. Including one senior officer, highest ranking death since the Falklands War. This is no different to the US and other countries in this conflict. And can hardly be blamed on a change of leader for one of the countries.
