While I understand MS's position I hope they also understand mine. Instead of getting $50 from me off a retail PC copy, they will get to split the $7 it will cost me to rent it from Blockbuster. They lose me a full customer, and I get a game with inferior control and dumbed down graphics. Its just too bad really.

Gaming keeps a lot of people tied to Windows and away from stuff like the Mac and Linux. I wonder if they realize that? Locking people into their OS is worth more in the long run than anything else. Even piracy helps cement Windows as the de facto standard.
