It's not harmful to the child, and if the parents truly want it, I don't see the problem. Small children are forced to take some very painful vaccinations (via needle). Should these children wait until they're older to decide to get vaccinations against tetanus? A child can choose their religion any time they want. It's not like parents will point a gun at their child and force them to follow a religion (and even if they did, they can't control thought). Besides, if you're going to get a circumcision, better when you're 2 months old than 16 years or so. |
there is no definetive medical reason for the circumsision though, if theyre were, i wouldnt have any issue with it.
problem is, if you tell a child that god exists and thats a fact, and dont give them any other views, youre essentially forcing them to accept your beliefs, till there older, theyre not gonna know any better, evne then, the dogma may be so ingrained in there mind, that they are no longer open to other views, like homophobia, most homophobes i assume are religious, they were told that as a child that homosexuality is wrong, so when older they persecute them.
