I've played lots of easy games, but right now LUFIA for SNES comes to mind.
It's a RPG, and I doubt there's ever been one easier than this. I played the game back in 1996, it took me around 30 hours to finish, and get this : NOT ONE OF MY CHARACTERS DIED during the whole game in any battle (not even last boss). I'm not talking about the whole party dying and game over, it was flawless victory from beginning to end, first playthrough, no guides, no walktrhough, no cheats. The game was just that childishly easy. I still think about it and amazes me, hundreds of fights during 30 hours and nobody died, just wow.
