I'am not sure why you would seriously ask that on here, you will pretty much get the worst possible answer from majority of people on here regarding the PS3.

3/4 million ww by Jan 1 = .5/1 million in Japan, 1.5 Europe and similar for North America. If Uncharted pulls a Gears and White Night comes in 07, 5 million possible world wide by Jan1

Slow Jan, huge Feb with either Killzone2 or MGS4 then huge gains on releases like GTA4 GT5 FF13 and other possible huge hit games like LBP.

Has there ever been a console that sold over 60% of its yearly sales in Q4?

The PS3 has average sales in the 350,000 range worldwide in most MONTHS and you expect its sales to increase by 5 or 6 times for the holiday season?

You certainly are the optimistic one ...

If what each of you say is more or less accurate, the 7ish million gap will continue at least through the middle of next year. Barring any major announcements, price moves, or other signifcant events, that puts the PS3 behind the 360 on a global basis well into 2009... If it carries into 2010, we would probably be seeing the plans for the next Xbox iteration.

Unless something happens to drastically impact the balance between both consoles, I expect that they will sell at a similar rate with the PS3 dominating in Japan, the XBox 360 dominating in North America, and their sales splitting throughout the rest of the regions.
