To answer the question in the thread title, about 6 billion people.
Personally, I only really liked the first Call of Duty. And even that one suffered from the same problem as the rest of them. They turn into point-click games pretty early, and no effort is ever made to break free of the mass-murder of increasingly inhuman enemies. In short, I quickly get desensitized and bored.
So I won't buy it. Wouldn't enjoy it for more than an hour or two if I did :(
